First Aid
As a part of their role in protecting people and property, security guards may be required to provide first aid in an emergency situation. Security guards should receive basic first aid training, including CPR and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), as well as training on how to recognize and respond to common medical emergencies such as heart attacks, strokes, and injuries.
The specific first aid responsibilities of a security guard may vary depending on their specific job and the nature of the premises they are protecting. For example, security guards working in a high-risk environment such as a construction site or a theme park may be required to have advanced first aid training and to carry a comprehensive first aid kit.
